TrafMan Version History

 

The following table lists the differences between different versions of TrafMan since version 4.69.

We recommend updating to the latest version for any user below 6.00.

  • Made some minor changes to the V2.8x file directory function (to allow for pauses and other MMC issues).

    • Reversed the order on OVERLAY.TXT
    • Added two new WIM Data Integrity checks:
      (a) Daily % of class 9 vehicles with axles 2-3 spacing outside the range of 129-132cm.
      (b) Daily % of class 9 vehicles with a steering axle weight outside the range of 4082-4990KG (9000-11000lbs).
    • Changed TMG Card 4/C Export to not abort on sites not collecting Axle Class data until entire data set has been checked.

  • Fixed problem in Single Channel Monthly not ending months correctly when breaks in data across a month line.
  • Changed the Archive function to first to a repair of the Binned, Count, & WIM databases before archiving.

Contains the following changes:

  • Multiple additions and changes for New York Data Integrity checking. This includes 10 new checks and moving all DI settings into a new “Data Integrity” menu option under the Setup - System Options menu.
  • Added support for the WIM Board GVW Adjust feature (available in UPP5 EPROM V2.87 and higher). This function allows you to dynamically adjust axle weights based on the vehicle GVW using a multi-point graph.
  • Added a “TMG W Card (Enhanced)” export format. This includes additional records for the time and speed of the vehicle
  • Changed the Maximum GVW to be 999,999lbs (453,592).
  • Added support for the UPP5 V2.88 and higher "Store Class >= x” setting. This allows user to specify the class number that WIM vehicle records will be stored in memory.

  • For New York: (a) added DI Check for Bin 14 exceeding 2& of the day's total traffic, (b) added DI Check for Bin 1 exceeding 0.5% of the day's total traffic, (c) changed the consecutive zero hours to check for intervals less than 60.
  • Fixed problem handling certain Unicorn-Limited files which have garbage at the end of a vaild file that looks like a good new file.
  • Hid the "Multiple Counter Serial ID" when connecting to Unicorn-Limited.
  • Fixed problem not always loading the Info1 & Info2 lines when printing the Site Setup report.
  • Fixed problem autoprogramming a Unicorn-Limited (both with creating and sending).
  • Made aborting after a corrupted file work smoother (when user presses <Esc> key).

  • Made SnMis values in the Binned database show up in Red.

  • Increased from 50 to 60 max file handles.
  • Fixed problem on importing or converting Pres-Pres data in Raw storage.

  • Changed WIM database editor to use rounded values when displaying Kips.
  • Eliminated the "Sensor Type" from displaying in all places (counter link, editor, print outs).
  • Fixed problem updating Autocal Value while in Monitor Mode.
  • The following changes for New York were also made:
    • Binned reports default to just Axle class
    • Retrieve functions auto-scrolls to first unretrieved file.
    • Peek imports now specify 241B.SPD table.
    • Changed the D.I. check to list the start time for 6 Hours of SnMis on a lane.
    • On the VOL, SPD, AXL, and all CVL equivalent files:
      • Default operator initials now DGV.
      • Continuous Station Number defaults to first 4 digits of the 12 digit Site ID.
      • Recorder Serial Number defaults to "0000".
      • Changed the "Total Number Of Lanes" value (last record in line #5) to be based on the value in the first field and the actual number of lanes.
      • Fixed problem with specifying CVL directory.
      • Changed the "Lane Notes" value to be the entire Lane Info line instead of from the third character.

      • Changed "ADC" to "AGC".
      • Fixed problem setting piezos on old piezo boards when counter using a 2.8x EPROM.

    Variety of bug fixes for New York, WIM output, and adds changes necessary for the Unicorn-Limited V1.28 EPROM.

    • Issues with New York State Export Format.
    • Fixed problem with TC-501 import/convert.
    • Created a second ".CSV" file to hold all values from WIM capture function as comma seperated values (for easy Excel import).
    • Changed WIM gain ranges to allow gains from 1-7 (instead of 1-5)
    • Added pressing either the <F4> or <F9> to exit Counter Link screen without doing the Hangup & F7 function (must be used with Telecom V3.90 or later).
    • Added some ability to link to System Sentry (more features and functions to come).
    • Fixed "Total Flash Size" numbers for UAA counters V1.28 and later.
    • Fixed a problem retrieving last RAM file in UAA counters (could cause a very large disk file).

    • Fixed problem with Weights being in 4 digit instead of three digit format
    • Added a "2nd Dir Code" for setting the NYS Direction for AXL, VOL, SPD files (entered in the Station Setup screen).
    • Changed the input NYHEADER format specified by Allen Pooler in the 04/14/03 EI 01-001.
    • Changed the AXL/SPD/VOL file as follows: (a) Added display of the Route Signing, Railroad Cross, Number, and Speed Limit to the convert window. (b) Changed Version number from 3.50 to 4.00 (c) Made various format changes as per 04/14/03 EI 01-001
    • Added "DEFAULTA.AXL" to the TABLES directory.
    • Fixed corrupted output file problem with Card W.
    • Fixed problem with Repair function not keeping Info Line 1 and Info Line 2 correctly.

    Variety of bug fixes and changes as follows:

    • Added a check to Start and Stop times so that they must match the beginning of an interval.
    • Eliminated error message that appears when connecting to a Sprite with no data files.
    • Fixed problem importing data from TT-501 counters.
    • Fixed menu being off when Retreiving files from a UPP5 with TAM installed.
    • For the UAA counters data retrieval:
      • Cleaned up and improved the high speed data retrieval.
      • Eliminated problems with retreiving multiple files and fixed problem with large (8MB) file showing up at end of download.
      • Also improved communications on NT/2000/XP machines to eliminate errors (although throughput is still lower in some cases).
      • Changed the “Get All Unretrieved” to “Get All Files” if there are not any unretrieved files in the counter.
      • Added some additional messages and status display to the download and post processing to aid in troubleshooting.
    • Fixed a problem with not allowing double digit lane numbers in the Raw and WIM database editor Lane Setup window.
    • Fixed a problem with the Basic Binned Print when selecting fixed 24:00 intervals.
    • Noted that Win NT/2000/XP users should not select the “Set Computer from Counter Time” option (it is not supported under these operating systems).
    • Put the "FLORIDA.SPD" and "FLORIDA.LEN" into Windows installer (was already in the DOS install).

    In addition, support for 15 classes has been added to the TMG Card 4 and Card C exports for all users instead of just specific customers.

    Adds the new “Repair Database” function to fix corrupted or otherwise problem database data (press <F8> from the Site Select list to access this function).

     

    Also made the following additional changes:

    • All changes and bug fixes to support V2.80 EPROM’s dated 01/02/03 or later.
    • Added the “New York CVL Export Format”. This is the same as the VOL file export except it (a) Exports all tagged files without asking any information and (b) puts all files in CVL sub-directory.
    • Added an "Auto Skip & Note Overlays" option. When enabled, this option writes the overlay Site and Date/Time range to a text file named "OVERLAY.TXT" in the TRAFMAN directory (the user is notified when this occurs).

    • Fixed discrepancy between Special/Column speed study and Basic Binned Print on the 85% percentile speed. This also lowered the amount of memory needed for Basic Binned printouts.
    • Fixed some problems with % speeds on large binnedtotals.
    • Fixed the ADT calculation on Column/Special speedstudy when interval not equal to 60.

    Added in a New York Data Integrity Check function. This is similar to Ohio DOT, with the following changes:

    • Uses 3 consecutive hours instead of 6 for zero checking.
    • Upper and lower speeds can be set in the Export menu.
    • Imports everything and writes it to a report file named "mmddyyDI.TXT" in the TELECOM\REPORTS directory. If there are any errors, it displays the report file at the end of "Import New".
    • The polling log is marked with a "DI!" when data integrity check errors have occurred.
