TrafMan Version History

The following table lists the differences between different versions of TrafMan since version 4.69.

We recommend updating to the latest version for any user below 6.00.

6.12	Build # [0001] 12/02/04	Minor update with the following changes: Install includes new RAM code files for V2.44 & V2.45. Added support for the UPP5 V2.90 EPROM (includes two new WIM settings: Auto Cal on Class 2 class Range & Default Axle Weight Value). Changed setting WIM AGC Trip points to an easier to use percent value. Fixed issue with Michigan format not writing last record of 15 minute intervals as a 5 digit instead of 4 digit number.
6.11	Build # [0001] 11/09/04	Contains the following changes: Added new D.I. check for New York to scan % of Class 9 vehicles are set to the default weight value. Fixed problems handling certain Datahog files from a Unicorn Limited. Added support for new V2.89 EPROM’s and the additional WIM and other new features.
6.10	Build # [0001] 08/31/04	Contains the following changes: Fixed bugs handling SnMis's in Special Speed Study. Made some minor changes to the V2.8x file directory function (to allow for pauses and other MMC issues). Changed the Michigan format (added spaces). Made multiple changes for New York: Reversed the order on OVERLAY.TXT Added two new WIM Data Integrity checks: (a) Daily % of class 9 vehicles with axles 2-3 spacing outside the range of 129-132cm. (b) Daily % of class 9 vehicles with a steering axle weight outside the range of 4082-4990KG (9000-11000lbs). Changed TMG Card 4/C Export to not abort on sites not collecting Axle Class data until entire data set has been checked. Eliminated warning about no data and no class when doing multiple file TMG export. Changed to allow Card C to be created (NY must now specify type in Setup). Changed Database menu to be in the order of: COUNT - BINNED - WIM. Fixed problem displaying internal temperature values from 2.8x version EPROMs when reading from motherboard or MDK. Added automatic conversion of retrieve commands (such as "AF", "LAST", etc) when connected to a Unicorn-Limited without Flash memory. Allowed setting "Weekly Files" for Sprite counters. Fixed problem in Single Channel Monthly not ending months correctly when breaks in data across a month line. Changed the Archive function to first to a repair of the Binned, Count, & WIM databases before archiving.
6.09	Build # [0006] 06/04/04	Contains the following changes: Multiple additions and changes for New York Data Integrity checking. This includes 10 new checks and moving all DI settings into a new “Data Integrity” menu option under the Setup - System Options menu. Added support for the WIM Board GVW Adjust feature (available in UPP5 EPROM V2.87 and higher). This function allows you to dynamically adjust axle weights based on the vehicle GVW using a multi-point graph. Added a “TMG W Card (Enhanced)” export format. This includes additional records for the time and speed of the vehicle Changed the Maximum GVW to be 999,999lbs (453,592). Added support for the UPP5 V2.88 and higher "Store Class >= x” setting. This allows user to specify the class number that WIM vehicle records will be stored in memory.
6.08	Build # [0001] 03/29/04	Minor maintenance update with the following changes: For New York: (a) added DI Check for Bin 14 exceeding 2& of the day's total traffic, (b) added DI Check for Bin 1 exceeding 0.5% of the day's total traffic, (c) changed the consecutive zero hours to check for intervals less than 60. Fixed problem handling certain Unicorn-Limited files which have garbage at the end of a vaild file that looks like a good new file. Hid the "Multiple Counter Serial ID" when connecting to Unicorn-Limited. Fixed problem not always loading the Info1 & Info2 lines when printing the Site Setup report. Fixed problem autoprogramming a Unicorn-Limited (both with creating and sending). Made aborting after a corrupted file work smoother (when user presses <Esc> key). Eliminated <Tabs> on Michigan format. Made SnMis values in the Binned database show up in Red.
6.07	Build # [0002] 01/18/04	Variety of general changes and changes for the WIM system. Increased from 50 to 60 max file handles. Fixed problem on importing or converting Pres-Pres data in Raw storage. Changed to allow GVW of 144000/65317KG. Changed WIM database editor to use rounded values when displaying Kips. Eliminated the "Sensor Type" from displaying in all places (counter link, editor, print outs). Fixed problem updating Autocal Value while in Monitor Mode. The following changes for New York were also made: Binned reports default to just Axle class Retrieve functions auto-scrolls to first unretrieved file. Peek imports now specify 241B.SPD table. Changed the D.I. check to list the start time for 6 Hours of SnMis on a lane. On the VOL, SPD, AXL, and all CVL equivalent files: Default operator initials now DGV. Continuous Station Number defaults to first 4 digits of the 12 digit Site ID. Recorder Serial Number defaults to "0000". Changed the "Total Number Of Lanes" value (last record in line #5) to be based on the value in the first field and the actual number of lanes. Fixed problem with specifying CVL directory. Changed the "Lane Notes" value to be the entire Lane Info line instead of from the third character.
6.06	Build # [0001] 10/31/03	Contains the following changes: Fixed problem importing multiple MMC card files from a single disk file. Increased delay time for start of retrieve for a MMC file. Fixed bug in retrieving range of files on UAA counters.
6.05	Build # [0002] to [0005] 09/01/03 to 10/17/03	Variety of changes as follows: Fixed several issues for New York TMG exporting and changed the Cleanup & Repair utility to match Info Line 1 from the <F7> (Station Setup). Added additional System Sentry functionality. Increased the maximum single database size to 2GB. Made multiple minor WIM changes including: Changed "ADC" to "AGC". Fixed problem setting piezos on old piezo boards when counter using a 2.8x EPROM. Added "Match To This Channel" command to WIM Autocal Setup and WIM Channel Setup (Alt+M). Moved the Vehicle Output under the Port 0 section to better indicate the location of the data. Changed Datahog processing to post-process files retrieved from Unicorn-Limited with Flash.
	Build # [0001] 08/26/03	Variety of changes as follows: Added "Less than 5% Class 3+" into the New York Data Integrity check. Added support for UPP5 V2.82 EPROM (adds ADC trip point sets and small car max axle weight check). Added Florida Custom Download File Name system. Fixed problem with Autocal Value and Gain not updating when a change is made during the actual monitor.
6.03	Build # [0001] 07/18/03	Variety of bug fixes for New York, WIM output, and adds changes necessary for the Unicorn-Limited V1.28 EPROM. Issues with New York State Export Format. Fixed problem with TC-501 import/convert. Created a second ".CSV" file to hold all values from WIM capture function as comma seperated values (for easy Excel import). Changed WIM gain ranges to allow gains from 1-7 (instead of 1-5) Added pressing either the <F4> or <F9> to exit Counter Link screen without doing the Hangup & F7 function (must be used with Telecom V3.90 or later). Added some ability to link to System Sentry (more features and functions to come). Fixed "Total Flash Size" numbers for UAA counters V1.28 and later. Fixed a problem retrieving last RAM file in UAA counters (could cause a very large disk file).
6.02	Build # [0003] 06/04/03	Variety of bug fixes and changes for New York as follows: Fixed problem with Weights being in 4 digit instead of three digit format Added a "2nd Dir Code" for setting the NYS Direction for AXL, VOL, SPD files (entered in the Station Setup screen). Changed the input NYHEADER format specified by Allen Pooler in the 04/14/03 EI 01-001. Changed the AXL/SPD/VOL file as follows: (a) Added display of the Route Signing, Railroad Cross, Number, and Speed Limit to the convert window. (b) Changed Version number from 3.50 to 4.00 (c) Made various format changes as per 04/14/03 EI 01-001 Added "DEFAULTA.AXL" to the TABLES directory. Fixed corrupted output file problem with Card W. Fixed problem with Repair function not keeping Info Line 1 and Info Line 2 correctly.
	Build # [0001] 05/30/03	Variety of bug fixes and changes as follows: Added a check to Start and Stop times so that they must match the beginning of an interval. Eliminated error message that appears when connecting to a Sprite with no data files. Fixed problem importing data from TT-501 counters. Fixed menu being off when Retreiving files from a UPP5 with TAM installed. For the UAA counters data retrieval: Cleaned up and improved the high speed data retrieval. Eliminated problems with retreiving multiple files and fixed problem with large (8MB) file showing up at end of download. Also improved communications on NT/2000/XP machines to eliminate errors (although throughput is still lower in some cases). Changed the “Get All Unretrieved” to “Get All Files” if there are not any unretrieved files in the counter. Added some additional messages and status display to the download and post processing to aid in troubleshooting. Fixed a problem with not allowing double digit lane numbers in the Raw and WIM database editor Lane Setup window. Fixed a problem with the Basic Binned Print when selecting fixed 24:00 intervals. Noted that Win NT/2000/XP users should not select the “Set Computer from Counter Time” option (it is not supported under these operating systems). Put the "FLORIDA.SPD" and "FLORIDA.LEN" into Windows installer (was already in the DOS install).
6.01	Build # [0001] 04/21/03	Adds support for High Speed 115.2KB downloading with the Unicorn-Limited, Apollo, and Argos traffic counters.   In addition, support for 15 classes has been added to the TMG Card 4 and Card C exports for all users instead of just specific customers.   Both of the above features can be enabled/disabled in the Setup menu.
6.00	Build# [0010] 04/11/03	Minor maintenance release: Fixed problem in Card W export format for New York. Fixed several Connecticut DOT problems (printing problem and CLA file exports).
	Build # [0008] 03/14/03	Minor maintenance release: Fixed problem saying data overlays when it doesn't on certain import files. Problem caused by scanning for import location routine and large gaps in data file. Fixed date problem with Monthly Axle Class Report date line at very top of page. Made a variety of corrections to CREAD function for Connecticut DOT (including UPLOAD.DAT fix). Fixed problem not showing V2.80 counter serial numbers.
	Build # [0004] 02/06/03	Minor changes and updates for TCC-540 8 Channel WIM.   In addition, several bugs with the Monthly Classification report have been fixed and the reliablity and speed of accessing database data has been improved.
	Build # [0003] 01/14/03	Adds the new “Repair Database” function to fix corrupted or otherwise problem database data (press <F8> from the Site Select list to access this function).   Also made the following additional changes: All changes and bug fixes to support V2.80 EPROM’s dated 01/02/03 or later. Added the “New York CVL Export Format”. This is the same as the VOL file export except it (a) Exports all tagged files without asking any information and (b) puts all files in CVL sub-directory. Added an "Auto Skip & Note Overlays" option. When enabled, this option writes the overlay Site and Date/Time range to a text file named "OVERLAY.TXT" in the TRAFMAN directory (the user is notified when this occurs).
	Build # [0002] 12/27/02	Adds support for the Internal and External temperature sensors of the WIM board, and also adds support for the second RS232 port on the WIM board (used to output vehicles).   In addition, multiple changes and improvements for the State of New York to handle to remote server application of TrafMan.
	12/15/02	New V6 release of TrafMan to customers. This version fixes all known bugs as well as adds full WIM (Weigh-In-Motion) data support to the popular TrafMan software.   DET recommends all customers update to this latest version at their earliest convenience.
5.31	11/08/02	Made the following changes/corrections: Multiple changes for NY DOT export formats. Multiple changes for NY DOT importing and DI Errors. Added new NY DOT export format “Bin Monthly”. Added CEMTTRK.AXL bin table definition. Added complete support for new version 1.20 of the Unicorn-Limited and Apollo EPROM. This new version supports the additional 4MB and 8MB onboard flash.
5.20	05/20/02	Made minor correction to handle Apollo & Argos firmware release date display bug.
5.19	04/19/02	Made the following changes/corrections: Fixed some problems with NY not always adding the zero days at the correct point in the file. Fixed problem with TMG Card 3 not exporting seperate lanes when mainline lane not equal to 0. Renamed "Footnotes" to "Restrictions. Renamed "Mainline Lane" to "Lane of Travel".
5.18	04/05/02	Made the following changes/corrections: Added Matt Hamilton request to not double export time/date stamps on Binary export. Also fixed some other duplicates in the export process (mostly to solve TRADAS related issues with the exported data). Fixed discrepancy between Special/Column speed study and Basic Binned Print on the 85% percentile speed. This also lowered the amount of memory needed for Basic Binned printouts. Fixed some problems with % speeds on large binnedtotals. Fixed the ADT calculation on Column/Special speedstudy when interval not equal to 60. Fixed not adding in errors to totals on Special Speed study. Added function to renumber lanes in database. Press Alt+N to access function from database editor.
5.17	03/29/02	Fixed a problem for New York with the CCU export not loading direction codes before processing zero or gap fix days. Also fixed the order of days when a Zero Day falls before a Gap day in the CCU export format.
5.16	03/27/02	Fixed a problem for New York when the number of lanes changed during the middle of a CCU export.
5.15	03/22/02	Made some additional changes for New York: Add the Month View to the Gap Fix function too (F5). Make the view jump to the day in question. Switched so PgDn includes/PgUp skips on Zero days. Added a new DI! error if the number of lanes changesfrom one import to the next. Made some changes for Washington DOT as follows: Fixed loading/saving speed bin tables. Made change so that GR export works as WA specified.
5.14	03/04/02	Added ability to display entire Month of data for a site on the Zero Check screen during New York CCF Export (press the <F5> key to view the month, press <Esc> to return to normal export processing).
5.13	02/07/02	Added new “Zero Days” check to the CCF export function for New York (allows complete editing/approval of days that have one or more lanes with consecutive zero hours). Also fixed bug in handling Apollo/Argos “Sensor” data.
5.12	02/01/02	Fixed problem with "Yearly Site Summary" print causing print to end early when any change in interval length during year. Fixed Time Shifting Problem. Changed the D.I. check for New York to indicate total consecutive zero hours (instead of just 3).
5.10	01/17/02	Various changes and fixes to the database: Greatly speeded up switching expanded/collapsed view. Added <Cntrl+A> to switch expanded/collapsed view and to go to last entry when from collapsed to expanded. Fixed New York DI check problem with collecting Speed bins only (no axle class) and having Misclassified > 10%. Fixed memory problem when printing Basic Binned in certain large database file systems. Fixed header print problem with long customer names. No longer use Expanded memory for overlay manager. Improved use of Extended memory management.
5.09	01/10/02	Added ability to import Peek PRN files that have their binned data format reversed (LanexSpeed instead of SpeedxLane).
5.08	01/08/02	Modified New York check to put the DI errors into the same file as the polling report itself (at the end of importing a window appears saying the number of errors instead of showing the file). Also fixed problem with not marking DI! on the polling report in some cases. Fixed Apollo problem with displaying the Start and End times of counter files. Also fixed problem during import that caused only SnMis to be included in Apollo Raw data.
5.07	12/20/01	Added in a New York Data Integrity Check function. This is similar to Ohio DOT, with the following changes: Uses 3 consecutive hours instead of 6 for zero checking. Upper and lower speeds can be set in the Export menu. Imports everything and writes it to a report file named "mmddyyDI.TXT" in the TELECOM\REPORTS directory. If there are any errors, it displays the report file at the end of "Import New". The polling log is marked with a "DI!" when data integrity check errors have occurred.
5.06	12/20/01	Changed N.J. GR Export have ending time equal starting time plus interval length (instead of 1 hour), and changed to use 4 spaces instead of 2 between the time and the first count.
5.05	12/19/01	Fixed problem when importing a very large number of data files at a single time. Also fixed problem importing 24:00 record interval length classification records.
5.04	12/18/01	Added basic support for the Apollo and Argos traffic counters. Also made major improvement to the database so that it can now handle an unlimited amount of individual file imports (old restriction was about 60K daily files).
5.03	12/06/01	Made some additional changes to the New Jersey export format (aka City of Phoenix format). Also fixed a problem when setting the Export Default to 23 and then doing an export of the old style New York DOT formats.
5.02	12/03/01	Fixed problem with displaying error message when deleting a file close to the beginning of memory in a classifier with expanded memory and using more than 300K. Also fixed problem with N.J. custom export format with the Site ID & Counter Number.
5.01	11/13/01	Added function to automatically rename subsequent overlay data files during import to the same name you picked for the first data file that overlays (when Site ID’s match).
5.00	10/31/01	Fixed problem selecting Sprite data files to retrieve (software incorrectly reported error downloading in some cases). Fixed incorrect sensor spacings on Peek 241 & ADR imports.
4.99	10/16/01	Minor changes for NY DOT custom formats.
4.98	10/03/01	Added Saudi Arabia custom export format. Fixed some various problems causing software to lock certain computers when particular database conditions occurred.
4.97	09/28/01	Added support for TTC-442X (Trail Counter) data files as fed into the software from the Datahog. Users are urged to upgrade to 4.98 or later.
4.96	09/28/01	Misc. changes related only to NY DOT. Fixed bug in exporting binned directional data to New Binary.

4.70	10/09/98	Added ability to use TAM card as extended memory to the traffic counter. Added support for V2.45 temperature sensing on IFF. Fixed bug in ALL WEEKS COMBINED for Dual and Single Channel Weekly. Fixed some misc. import bugs.
