Com Port Conflict with Windows 32-bit operating system.
In Windows XP / 2000/ NT Com Ports are actively managed by the Windows operating System. Because TrafMan is a DOS Program conflicts can arise when TrafMan tries to access already busy or non existent ports. To fix this you must go into TrafMan setup and change the Com Port settings to only scan the Port(s) available So windows doe snot display an error dialog.
Go to TrafMan Main menu
Setup ->
Counter Options ->
Com Port Options :

Commonly, Com port 1 or 2 would be used by most PC as the physical Port located on the machine. Set Com 1 to “Check” and then 2,3,4 to “Always Off” to try. Once set you can go back to the main menu and try communications. If the error message appears, then try another port. If ALL ports are in use then you must locate and close the application that has control over that port. If you have no Com Port installed or cannot access you com port, contact your IT department before you contact us.
Bin table definition not found:
The Following error occurs when a bin table definition is not available in the Tables directory in TrafMan:

In this example the file was “CEMTTRK.AXL” but this can occur with any bin definition not saved on disk.
To correct this problem you need to add in the appropriate bin table labeled “CEMTTRK.AXL” into the TABLES directory in TrafMan. You can download the file here.

If you select Yes-User to the Daylight Savings Adjust option in the Configure System option, then another window will appear allowing you to specify the exact time and date for adjusting the daylight savings time.
You are asked the following questions:
|
|
NOTE:If you select Yes-Trafman, Trafman will automatically adjust the time based on the federal calendar regulation dates and set the counter to automatically adjust the time accordingly.
If you select No, nothing will be done and the counter will “ignore” daylight savings.
|
When you are done press <enter> until you reach the counter settings screen. Now you have set the counter for daylight savings time.
