Brass Linguine
(Unencapsulated Sensors)
Class I (WIM) and Class II (Axle Sensor Only). This flat 1/16" (1.5mm) x 1/4" (6mm) brass piezo electric axle sensor can be taped temporarily to road surface or permanently installed by grouting into a 3/4" (2cm) wide x 3/4" (2 cm) deep slot across the pavement. The flat cross section increases sensitivity to tire loads directly over the sensor and improves rejection of ghost axle signals.
Available in 2', 3', 4', 5', 6', 8', 9', 10', 11', 12' and 13' lengths. Sensor comes standard with 100' of coaxial cable and is shipped in a 24" x 24" x 3" (60 cm x 60 cm x 7 cm) corrugated box. Call for price quote and delivery.

NORTH AMERICAN PHILIPS
(Unencapsulated Sensors)
The bare piezo electric axle sensors differ from the Philips aluminum channel encapsulated sensor by having a rigid copper tubing outside sheath. Sensor may be installed in 3/4" (2 cm) wide x 3/4" (2 cm) deep slot cut across the pavement. Sensors come with standard 100" (32 meters) of coaxial cable. Available in diameters of 1mm and 6mm x 6' and 12' lengths for Class II axle sensing. Available in diameters of 8mm in 6' and 11'6" for class I WIM grade axle sensors. PIEZO/ELECTRIC
ROADWAY MOUNTING FRAMEWORK
This mounting frame is designed to be permanently installed in the roadway. The frame has a locking bar secured with machine bolts that allow piezo or resistive sensor units to be replaced without sawing out the old sensor and grouting in the new one. The frame work is available constructed of 6061 T6 aluminum or baked electrostatic powder coated steel. Sizes available are 6' (180 cm) and 11'6 (345 cm) long. The frame can ordered to receive one, two, three, or four sensors side by side. The three and four sensor units are normally used as treadles in toll plazas.
6' one sensor #MF61
6' two sensor #MF62
6' three sensor #MF63
6' four sensor #MF64
11'6" one sensor #Mf1161
11'6" two sensor #MF1162
11'6" three sensor #MF1163
11'6" four sensor #MF1164
PIEZO ELECTRIC AXLE SENSOR
These are permanently installed axle sensor (class II) or weighing grade (class I) axle sensors manufactured by North American Philips. The sensor element is secured in an extruded aluminum channel with sand filled epoxy or flexane 80. The sensor is normally available in 6' (one wheel path) or 11'6" (both wheel paths) length with 65' of RGU 58 coax cable. Longer lead in coax cables are available. Normal output voltage is in the 300 millivolt range. Normal life expectancy is 4-7 years. Delivery lead time is 6-8 weeks. Call for quote and delivery.
