Left: This custom cabinet built for our test site is an example of a one of a kind custom cabinet. It is large enough to accept more than one counter and related test equipment. There is a fold-out instrument shelf on the door and a pull out shelf near the bottom of the cabinet for a laptop computer. The cabinet has four drawers, one large drawer for tools, one to hold a 30-40 amp hour rechargeable gel cell battery and two shelves for miscellaneous items. The cabinet incorporates voltage and amp meters to monitor solar panel output and current draw out of the battery. Mounted on the upper right is a cellular telephone and associated circuitry. The cabinet is painted medium green to blend into the forest.

Left & right: This cabinet has a standard 19 inch rack mount frame. The rack is hinged on one side allowing rack and electronics to swing out for servicing the rear of the electronics.

We manufacture our own poles and pedestals, plus stocking Pelco Brand aluminum bases and pedestals. The pole and base disassemble for ease in shipping. Poles are schedule 40 thickness with thread attachment between pole and cast base. Specify pole height from ground to pole cap.

Pole and Pedestal Mount Cabinets

Our cabinets are manufactured from 1/8” 5052-H32 aluminum with standard mill run finish. The bottom of pedestal mount cabinets is 3/16” or 1/4” aluminum. Bend radius is 1/8”. All welds are continuous except for cabinet top which is spot welded to main body 1 inch every 4 inches. Cabinet top is fabricated with with 3/4” diameter screened vent hole every 2” on the underside of the door overhang Cabinets can be fabricated with adjustable shelving and back plane or side plane to accept electrical accessories and terminal strips (see counter accessories page for details).

Doors are attached with 2” open face continuous aluminum hinge riveted to door and cabinet unless otherwise specified. The door comes standard with a 90 degree and 135 degree doorstop bracket. A variety of door latch and lock mechanisms are available (see counter accessories page). Louvered air vents ad filter are available on door. Door gasket is 3/4” x 3/8” closed-cell Back neoprene.

All cabinets are NEMA 3R rated to provide protection against falling rain, sleet, and damage by formation of ice on the enclosure.

We offer small lockable aluminum boxes on a steel pipe for use at counter sites located in high foot traffic areas prone to tempering or vandalism. The boxes are also useful in getting counters up off the ground in locations where flooding is a problem. The security boxes are ideal for parks, recreational areas and parking lots.

Boxes are 1/8” 5052-H32 aluminum, 10” x 12” x 6 1/2” deep, hinged on the 12” side. Pipes are four feet long, four inch diameter, with 1/4 inch thick walls. The steel pipe is designed to be set two feet into concrete, placing box about teo feet from the ground. The padlock is shielded to prevent cutting of the bolt with bolt cutters. Shippable by U.P.S.

In-Pavement Security Box

This 1/4” thick steel box iss designed to be set in paved parking lots or similar locales. It is designed to be extended 2 inches above pavement and can be run over by a vehicle with no damage to box or vehicle. Comes with a built in brass plunger lock.
